Some 20 underprivileged families in Brunei-Muara, Temburong, Tutong and Belait districts received basic necessities and household items from the 15th ‘Jalinan Kasih’ project hosted by Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB).
Families of orphans, senior citizens and individuals with different abilities were among the recipients of the charitable drive.
The project is a collaboration between Hamitan Group Brunei, Radisson Hotel Brunei, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), Sim Kim Huat Trading Co., McDonald’s Brunei, Bahagia Distributors and Al Hayaah Enterprise.
The Jalinan Kasih project organised during Ramadhan is among RTB’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) in supporting the government’s aspiration of creating a community that looks out for the welfare of the less fortunate nationwide.
RTB and representatives from participating companies on Wednesday continued its charity project in the Brunei-Muara District to hand over necessities and cash aid to the five underprivileged families.
The families were selected from Kampong Kasat, Kampong Bunut, Kampong Mata-Mata, Kampong Jerudong, Kampong Bunut and Kampong Lambak Kanan.
The convoy gathered at the RTB Broadcast Complex, Sungai Akar before heading to the residences.
Assistant Head of Radio Programmes Muhammad Alim Sani expressed his gratitude and thanked the committee and sponsors for their contribution and support in making the project a success.
“As a corporate social responsibility, RTB not only provides information to the community but also as a community service and a builder of relationships, especially for the welfare of the less fortunate and in need of help,” he said.
Established in 2009, Jalinan Kasih lends a focus to the RTB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and programmes to encourage acts of kindness and active volunteerism through its charity and sungkai event with underprivileged children.
As for future plans, RTB aspires to expand its Jalinan Kasih project with other sponsors and to help as many communities in need as they can.
“Alhamdulillah, RTB hopes in the future to welcome more sponsors and individuals to join in and share the rezeki with the less fortunate and those who are in need,” he said.
“RTB is also grateful for our loyal sponsors who have been working together with us for several years,” he added.
On her part, Sales Executive (PR & Marketing) of Radisson Hotel Brunei EuDora Jamaya Rangga shared that this is the hotel’s fourth time participating in the Jalinan Kasih project since 2018.

Radisson Hotel through the annual charitable project continued to support the community by donating basic food necessities consisting of rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, canned food and more.
