Some 12 volunteers of Network Integrity Assurance Technologies (NiAT) Sdn Bhd, a local satellite communication service provider in Brunei Darussalam, recently participated in a gotong-royong activity to clean up two Muslim cemeteries in Kampong Kupang and Baong.
NiAT volunteers began the cleanup at Kampong Kupang Muslim Cemetery as early as 10 in the morning, clearing the area of debris, trimming the overgrown bushes, cutting dead branches, and clearing any trash left behind before moving on to Baong Muslim Cemetery.
Following the cleanup of both sites, cleaning equipment and stools were donated to both cemeteries for the future use by the village residents.
Also participating in the activity were Yang Berhormat Zainol Haji Mohamed, a member of the Legislative Council (LegCo) in his capacity as the Village Head of Kampong Putat, and members of the Village Consultative Council, Maidi Haji Lamat and Haji Rasadi Samit.
This event was part of NiAT’s corporate social responsibility initiative to give back to the local community and encourage its employees to participate in charitable activities during the holy month of Ramadan.
