Designed for toughness from grille to tailgate, the pick-up truck ditches its conservative look to a more significantly sportier and aggressive look compared to the model it replaces.
Displaying an aggressive stance in a confident, compact body, the updated Hilux boasts a range of styling attributes to make it stand apart on the road.
This includes a fresh interpretation of its signature muscular and athletic-looking front fascia with a hexagonal-shaped grille with thick chrome borders and redesigned LED headlights.

Riding on 18-inch alloy wheels, the pick-up exudes a distinctive presence with its muscular contoured shoulders that dominates the side view, giving the five-seater a ruggedly handsome look that balances the line between toughness and practicality.
Moreover, the pronounced body sculpting over the wheel arches further gives the Hilux an aggressive and assertive appearance.
Not only that, the Toyota Hilux comes in a wide range of colours that draw eyes to it the moment it drives by. Customers can choose from White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic and Attitude Black Mica.
Tough on the outside, comfortable on the inside
Inside, the driver and passengers are pampered in comfortable seats, surrounded by quality and reliable materials that push the envelope for the 4WD.
Moreover, practicality and spaciousness have always been first and foremost on the minds of Japanese automaker when it comes to cabin design ensuring a smooth journey.
The Hilux seats just up to five people comfortably. Also providing both the driver and passenger ample space for headroom and legroom.

From the driver’s seat, the seat strikes a good balance between comfort and support with decent adjustment ranges during the entire duration of our time behind the wheel.
Another notable highlight is the minimalist central control design that features an intuitive, easy-to-use infotainment system that comes with a USB, AUX and Bluetooth where you can conveniently plug in your mobile devices and access your music and phone calls.
Performance and safety
Under the hood, the Toyota Hilux boasts a range of powertrains, from the Turbo 2.4 to the Turbo 2.8 (Manual). This makes the pickup truck a great option for both work and play.
Moreover, the engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission with lockable distinctions for off-road driving and four-wheel drive.
The Toyota Hilux also comes with a range of active and passive safety features aimed at protecting passengers in the event of a collision including multiple SRS airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Rear View Monitor and more.

On and off the road with the Toyota Hilux
Out in the rough and back roads of Tutong, the Toyota Hilux was an absolute beast and fun to drive.
As for performance and power, during our drive from the Toyota Gadong showroom to Tutong, The Bruneian had the opportunity to push the Toyota Hilux to its limit and even tried out its safety features.
Behind the wheel is where the Hilux demonstrated its true potential and prowess.
We started off with the muddy and sandy terrains of Pantai Seri Kenangan where we powered through effortlessly with the help of the Hilux’s unrelenting 2.4-liter turbo Diesel engine.

During the drive, we also tried switching to four-wheel drive high, giving the five-seater more traction.
Moreover, the suspension allows the Hilux to cruise effortlessly across undulating terrain and impressively absorb the holes and rocks throughout the journey. The experience was nothing short of thrilling.
There was never a moment when we felt short of power tackling the rough and winding roads.
Another highlight was how the good steering felt during the curvy roads. Its light steering and good feedback were easy to maneuver. Turn after turn the pick-up truck surprises with its impressive ride quality and assured handling.

Overall, the all-new Toyota Hilux is all-in-all practical, capable and durable. It is a perfect blend of poise and comfort on the road with unstoppable off-road performance allowing drivers to take on any challenge with confidence
