His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will hold an official visit to the French Republic from 13 to 14 October 2023.
The visit is at the invitation of the President of the French Republic His Excellency Emmanuel Macron.
During the Official Visit, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei
Darussalam is expected to meet His Excellency the President of the French Republic to discuss matters of mutual interest towards further strengthening bilateral cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the French Republic.
Brunei Darussalam and the French Republic established Diplomatic Relations in May 1984 and since then, both countries have had extensive cooperation in the areas of economy, energy, defence, education and culture.
His Majesty last made an Official Visit to the French Republic in 2008.
