QAF Auto partners with Radisson Hotel for BMW EV charging station

QAF Auto recently announced Radisson Hotel Brunei as its second BMW Destination Charging Partner and became the first hotel in the Sultanate to offer electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.

The charging station features the BMW Wallbox which offers a charging output of 22 kW for both Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV).

Unveiling the EV stations was the QAF Brunei Group Chief Executive Officer Albert Lau; Stephen Ong representing the Board of Directors of Hotel Associates; QAF Auto General Manager Alisa Khoo; and Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam General Manager Miriam Wolber.

The debut of the EV charging station at the Radisson Hotel represents the BMW Destination Charging Partner programme expanding footprint.

The programme is part of the holistic sustainability strategy to establish an integrated and convenient charging infrastructure for owners of BMW EVs across the country.

In her speech at the launching ceremony, General Manager of QAF Auto, Alisa Khoo said that the partnership is part of its mission “to further realise energy sustainability for the future of transportation”.

“This cooperation marks the first BMW BMW Destination Charging Partner at a hotel in the country and forges a solid foundation for electric mobility that allows us to further drive the adoption of electric mobility in Brunei,” she added.

On her part, General Manager of Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam Miriam Wolber said that the partnership aligns with the hotel’s sustainability goals and ongoing commitment to Responsible Business.

“Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam’s mission is to seamlessly blend sustainability with exceptional service,” she said.

With the launching of the EV stations, guests will be able to charge their electric vehicles at no cost while also dining at their restaurants, Tasek Brasserie and Riwaz.

Meanwhile, Senior Director Operations, South East Asia for the Radisson Hotel Group, Deborah Haines, said, “At Radisson Hotel Group, we have a strong commitment and vision in facilitating responsible business through sustainability.”
