Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) sponsored 200 trees, supporting the 7th Reforestation Project organised by Hengyi Industries recently.
This collaboration aligns with BIBD’s Sustainability Framework, as evidenced by the bank’s enduring commitment to Brunei Darussalam’s endorsement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals and its alignment with Brunei Darussalam’s National Climate Change Policy as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
The 7th Reforestation Project was attended by the Minister Of Development, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda Bin Haji Abdul Rashid. Also present was the Deputy Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office, Awang Haji Mohammad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah. BIBD’s Managing Director and CEO, Awang Junaidi bin Haji Masri was also in attendance, along with BIBD’s senior management and staff.
BIBD’s involvement in Hengyi Industries’ reforestation project is a testament to the bank’s dedication to environmental stewardship and commitment to contributing positively to the country’s ecological preservation.
