Jerudong Park Country Club (JPCC) reached a significant milestone with the grand opening of the much-awaited revival of the JP Food Court Phase 2.
The food court has a refreshed new look, equipped with a fully-air conditioned indoor setting featuring spacious seating and a variety of over 20 food vendors.
In her speech at the opening ceremony, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism as Chair of JPCC Board of Directors, Hajah Tutiaty Haji Abdul Wahab highlighted that the re-opening of the food court serves as a platform for renewal and growth in supporting local businesses and stimulating collaboration and entrepreneurship within the community.
She also commended the efforts of all stakeholders involved in the restoration efforts after the 2021 fire incident.
Inside the new food court, customers can expect a vibrant and inviting space crafted through the renovation that perfectly complements the food court’s family-friendly atmosphere.
From a juicy t-bone steak to a good bowl of classic cendol, diners can indulge in a wide variety of local and international cuisine where there is something for every palate.
The 1,516 sq/m food court is home to 23 food and beverage outlets including Wok Inn Restaurant, C A Mohamed, Rindu Kampong, Philly Steak House, Satay Haji Ibrahim, Llao Llao, Sugar & Spice, Seven Sporks and many more.
For the founder of Seven Sporks, Syafiq Iqbal, the return of JP Food Court gave him the perfect opportunity to open their new business location.
Following the success of its first cafe in Subok, this year, Seven Sporks has expanded its presence with a second physical outlet at the new food court, marking a milestone in the growth of the homegrown business.
“It’s a dream come true for me to open up an establishment in a commercial and prime area like JP Food Court. We have been working on it for seven months since we heard the news that they were looking for vendors. We immediately jumped in,” Syafiq shared.
Reflecting on the opening of their new branch, Syafiq said that he wants to focus more on further growing the business.
“In five years Seven Sporks is going to be a franchise and who knows we might be running our factory. More magic to come, more story to be told. Let’s see what the future holds,” he added.
According to the founder, Seven Sporks will also be introducing a range of savoury and healthy menus including their signature wrap, pasta and rice menu.
The launch was officiated by the guest of honour, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf Haji Metussin.
