The Peliunan Park in Temburong recently hosted the ‘Rise and Thrive’ bootcamp, a transformative three-day event designed to build resilience and enhance career exposure among the local youth.
Organised by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and managed by Mavensdotlive, the event gathered some 74 enthusiastic young individuals interested in entrepreneurship, technology, and creative industries.
The programme’s core focus was to help the youths develop resilience and gain clarity in their career paths. Through the use of well-established frameworks, participants were guided to consider seven critical areas when making informed career decisions.
These areas included identifying their favourite fields of interest and the types of people they prefer to work with.
Workshops and discussions led by industry professionals, including a session by the Astronomi Unit from the Ministry of Development, enabled participants to explore these factors in depth, helping them align their career choices with their personal strengths and preferences.
This structured approach ensured that participants left the bootcamp not only with a better understanding of potential career paths but also with the confidence to pursue them.
“Rise and Thrive” successfully provided a platform for participants to reflect on their future, equipping them with the tools and resilience needed to rise and thrive in their chosen fields.
The programme was also supported byPersekutuan Pengakap Negara BruneiDarussalam, Ministry of Education, and Volunteer & First Aid Support Team (VFAST).
