ANTA Charity Fun Run recently collected $10,000 for the local non-governmental organisation Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam.
Hosted by ANTA Brunei, the event gathered over 400 participants in the 3KM and 5KM routes around the capital starting from the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien.
The run which aimed to promote physical activity, health awareness and a commitment to healthy living, was also part of the HEAL Programme in collaboration with the Health Promotion Centre.
Present as the guest of honour was Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal Pengiran Haji Mahmud.
After the run, a donation mock cheque was presented by the permanent secretary along with Director of ANTA Brunei Pang Ze Yi and Pad Motors Head of Sales, Marketing and Operations Ibnu Sharul Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Ismail to Pusat Ehsan board member Pengiran Sarimah Pengiran Haji Abd Latiff.
Tokens of appreciation were also presented to Pad Motors (Proton) as the official Title Partner, Jab Gym as the Platinum Sponsor, Imagine Sdn Bhd as the Official Telco Partner, and Sallima Recycling Works and BR Patrick as the Bronze Sponsors.
Other supporters were also recognised for their generous support with certificates and tokens of appreciation.
To conclude the eventful morning, a grand lucky draw was held for the participants who won exciting prizes, followed by a photo-taking session.
The success of the ANTA Charity Fun Run would not have been possible without the enthusiastic support of the local community, the dedication of the volunteers, and the generous contributions of the sponsors, said ANTA Brunei.
