The Australian government has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) and RT-PCR COVID-19 test kits to Brunei yesterday, marking its second contribution to the sultanate in a week.
The assistance which arrived at about 9pm last night was handed over to Second Minister of Foreign Affairs Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan from High Commissioner of Australia to Brunei Tiffany Anne McDonald.
Australia continues to extend COVID-19 assistance to Brunei with its recent donation of 100,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine last weekend.
The country also donated COVID-19 laboratory equipment to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces for the Medical Reception Station (MRS) at Bolkiah Garrison in December 2020.
Also in attendance were senior government officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam and representatives from the Australian High Commission in Bandar Seri Begawan.
