Brunei recorded 519 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Friday, announced the Ministry of Health in an infographic.
The Ministry of Health also revealed that out of the total number of new cases 519 were detected through ART testing and none through rapid RT-PCR testing.
In addition, 294 laboratory tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.
Moreover, 415 individuals have recovered from the infection. To date, the country has recorded a total of 152,018 recoveries.
Currently, there are 3,5550 active cases in the country.
Two cases under Category 4 have been admitted for close monitoring and require the aid of oxygen assistance.
Moreover, there are two cases in Category 5 which are those who require treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
COVID-19 vaccination status
The Ministry of Health also shared 84.4 per cent of children aged 5 to 11 years old have received their first vaccination.
Whereas, 70.3 per cent of children aged 5 to 11 years old have received their second dose of vaccine.
Meanwhile, the coverage rate for the country’s citizens and residents who have received three doses of the vaccine is 72.1 per cent.
