Some 60 Progresif employees recently participated in the internal Progresif Wellness Program – Low Intensity Interval Training (LIIT) at the Health Promotion Centre in conjunction with Movember.
This effort is a component of Progresif’s Staff Wellness Program, and it serves as an internal programme to foster a healthy work-life balance through companywide physical exercise.
The programme was in collaboration with Garmin Running Club (GRC) where they conducted the workout with the generous support of Health Promotion Centre in providing the venue.
In a statement, Progresif’s Chief Executive Officer Hajah Nurul Haniah Haji Mohd Jaafar said that staff enthusiasm for the Progresif Wellness Program has been overwhelming.
“It’s been wonderful to observe my coworkers getting ready and getting it into their routine to maintain a work-life balance lifestyle, that benefits their health, happiness, and passion. This shows that being progressive also means being able to push ourselves and stay focused on what is important,” she added.
As part of awareness, Progresif also encouraged all staff to wear Blue to show their support for the Movember cause. The LIIT for Movember event coincides with November which is a month of men growing their moustaches to show support and to raise awareness on various cancers such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and, suicide prevention.
In addition to the LIIT, Progresif internally gave away three health screening packages to the lucky male winners that attended the event.
