The womanpreneur also shared about not hesitating when an opportunity presents itself and advised the participants not to be scared of risks and challenges as these are where growth comes from.

She also highlighted the importance of being persistent and consistent with efforts. Reflecting on the topic, Baitulhusna said: “In this social enterprise journey, I was empowering others to empower myself and it has created a need for me to keep improving myself as a leader”.

Moreover, Baitulhusna’s current project E-Jahit is a three-year community initiative to empower a total of 90 women in Kedah through entrepreneurship and digitalisation supported by Yayasan Hasanah, Khazanah Malaysia and Ministry of Finance Malaysia.

The entrepreneur has gone through a few professional fellowships regarding community development such as Yunus & Youth Fellowship, Professional Fellow in Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative by US State Dept in Hawaii, IATSS Honda Japan in Nagoya, and currently a fellow under ACUMEN.

The session was moderated by a core member of YPN and supported by YPN’s strategic partner, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Brunei.

The Impact Dialogue Series is an initiative by YPN aimed at creating a space for open, honest and constructive dialogue on matters related to employability, leadership and contribution to support the personal and professional development of young people to succeed meaningfully.
