The Korean Government is offering the “2024 Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees” to Brunei nationals interested in furthering their studies in Korea.
The objectives of the scholarship programme are designed to provide higher education in Korea for international students, aiming to promote international exchange in education and mutual friendship amongst the participating countries.
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Brunei, the quota for Bruneians through the Korean Embassy’s selection is increased from four to five for Degree programme (Master’s or Doctoral) and Research programme.
Applicants must choose their desired fields of study from the listed programmes in the University Information section provided by participating universities.
As of 2024, the required date for scholarship applicants who are expected to graduate is July 31, 2024. Applicants should meet the full requirements of the scholarship and completed application forms must be submitted by hand to the Korean Embassy by March 12, 2024.
Documents such as proof of citizenship and family relationship documents, certificate of graduation, academic transcript, and proof of age (if other than IC and passport) must be apostilled (Brunei Supreme Court) before submission.

The 2024 GKS Program for Graduate Degrees is offered to a total number of 2,200 students worldwide including the successful Bruneian candidates.
